For those of you interested in Isla Mujeres, heads up.  There is another well-recognized resort brand moving in and making itself known on this quaint island…Secrets has already claimed its position as a luxury property here (Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets), but Grupo Posadas wants a piece of the action and is taking over Izla Beachfront Hotel and turning it into Devossion by Live Aqua Celebration Resort and Spa Isla Mujeres.  

The beautiful island of Isla Mujeres is only a 35-45 min. ferry ride from Cancun (there are multiple ferry piers both inside and outside the Hotel Zone) and is known for its popular golf cart rentals to see the island as well as famous Playa Norte, one of the best beaches not only on the island but in this area of the Caribbean.  To anyone who worries about the ability of a smaller island to sustain the ability to accommodate the increased use of resources like water, etc., this poses a question as to how this additional luxury resort will be changing the entire resort and community landscape as a whole.
