I found this list of the safest top 10 North American-based airlines from a travel website. It is based on an independent audit of more than two dozen health and safety measures plus travelers convenience/service/overall experience during COVID. Here’s the list:
- Delta. Delta was the only North American-based airline to score over 4 in a 5-point rating scale. Delta has promised to keep middle seats open until the first part of January 2021.
- Air Canada
- Southwest
- Alaska Airlines
- United Airlines
- Air North
- Allegiant Air
- American Airlines
- Air Transat
- WestJet
What do you think? Have you flown with any of these airlines during COVID? I have flown with United and I appreciated the fact that everything was wrapped, passengers are given packets of antibacterial wipes, they have a mandatory mask wearing policy, and they proport to use an excellent HEPA system which filters and replaces cabin air every 2-3 minutes. What’s your opinion on flying safely during COVID?
