Bad news for those wanting to stay at Armar House Cancun…For those who don’t know, this used to be ME Cancun, then Melody Maker.

I tried to find Armar House on the Marriott Bonvoy site and it’s not there anymore.  I cannot even pull up any sort of website, or find any recent news stories about the opening of this resort.  Looks like Marriott may have pulled the plug on this resort.  Last I heard from a reader, pool construction was done without permits (the pool was intruding on the public beach area), so there was a fight going on between owners of the resort and Cancun zoning and permit officials.

That doesn’t mean absolutely no one has bought this resort from Marriott, nor does it mean this resort will stand vacant forever and never open at all.  So, if anyone knows anything about who may have taken over from Marriott please let us all know…
