For full disclosure, I have not yet stayed at Hilton Cancun.  However, I have read a lot of positive reviews about the property and have been wondering what the secret is of its popularity since on the surface it looks and acts like so many other all-inclusive resorts I actually have booked.

This Hilton property is a 20 min. ride south of the Cancun airport.  It’s adjacent to a mangrove area which means you may have some types of animal encounters if you go wandering.  Unfortunately, the beach area and ocean waters may experience some mangrove runoff during heavy rainfall.  The resort has 715 rooms and suites and has two beachfront pools and a water park and splash pad for younger children (this is a family-friendly resort).  There are supposed to be 12 dining experiences including 5 a la carte restaurants, a taqueria, an ice cream/churros spot, poolside food carts, and a coffee shop.  There are only 3 bars and it looks like this resort does not have a swim-up bar.  (Please correct me if I am wrong since I haven’t stayed here).  The room and suite bathrooms look pretty open to the rest of the room, so couples or families worried about bathroom privacy may want to think more about this arrangement.
