It’s back to the reality of working, posting on my blog, and finishing my all-inclusive resort book after my latest mini-vacay in Mammoth Lakes at the Bluesapalooza Beer and Music Festival. Such a neat setting to hear blues amidst the pines in the eastern Sierras near Yosemite, and, of course, to sample a few specialty brews while doing so. If you get a chance and you like blues music, don’t miss it. The party returns every August–trust me, you will have a great time! On with more about all-inclusive resorts…
I’ve always found the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel to be fascinating. It blends the best of relaxing vacation experiences into one very neat, luxury package for adults only. The resort is about a 40 min. drive south of the Cancun airport and houses 128 rooms and suites in the midst of 36 acres of jungle. It’s like a boutique resort in that only a small number of guests are there at any given time, but it has LOTS of room to move around. Guests can traverse the property via the use of complimentary bicycles or have staff take you to your destination on one of the resort’s golf carts.
Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel also has several on-site cenotes, one which is swimmable, and opportunities to experience the spiritual guidance of a Shaman if you want to take part in a Temazcal ritual at the spa. There are two pools, one main pool and one spa pool, and a small beachfront Jacuzzi. There are three restaurants and a snack area but only one official bar by the main pool.
There are great rooms and suites from which to choose. My personal favorite is the Beachfront Casita with its own rooftop infinity pool, but not everyone can afford almost $2K USD p/night. If you want something cheaper, check out the Patio Diamond Suite with its own plunge pool and huge patio and luxurious bathroom areas.
This all-inclusive resort would be a great fit for couples or individuals who want a relaxing or wellness-based vacation in a beautiful and luxurious resort setting. While this is definitely not a place for partiers, you can still have some fun in the evenings with the nightly poolside entertainment and the bar which stays open until 1 or 2 a.m.
Here’s a short video highlighting the resort; what do you think? Would you book a stay here?
