Beloved Playa Mujeres is an adults-only luxury boutique all-inclusive resort perfect for couples who want to celebrate a special occasion or just spend quality time with one another. The resort advertises itself as “couples only”, so be aware that singles should really look elsewhere to have a quality stay at a luxury resort.
Beloved PM is a boutique resort with only 105 guest suites; the entry level Jr. Suite starts out with 960 sq. feet while the Two-Story Casita Suite is 1,206 sq. feet. That is a LOT of room for two people. Personally, I would love to stay at this resort in each one of the suites since they all have their unique offering for couples–many of the suites offer some sort of private pool while there is more of an opportunity to have an ocean view with several room categories since this is a small resort. Be aware when booking that there are several suites which offer a terrace with plunge pool–only the Two-Story Casita Suite With Plunge Pool (and Two-Story Beachfront Casita Suite With Plunge Pool) get you the rooftop amenity.
Beloved is another in the Excellence Collection Resorts (Excellence PM, Excellence RM, Finest PM resort, etc.), so you know you would be staying at a top notch resort which offers stellar amenities and first class customer service. Unlike other resorts in the Excellence Collection, Beloved PM doesn’t offer official upgrades within suite categories; that means you don’t have to upgrade further to Club level in order to obtain special resort amenities. Here’s what you get with the Two-Story Casita Suite With Plunge Pool:

- welcome bottle of sparkling wine and fruit plate
- 55″ flat screen TV
- 24-hr. complimentary room service and room service box

Keep in mind that this is a rather quiet resort; you might play some games of trivia, poolside bingo, or hear a poolside DJ play some tunes, but the whole resort emphasis is on couples being able to concentrate on one another instead of being continually barraged by loudspeakers announcing the next resort activity.

I’m at Secrets Playa Mujeres right now. Depending on where it is in relation maybe I’ll take a beach walk tomorrow and check it out.
I like the smaller resorts.
Jay: I would think it takes about 45-60 min. to walk depending on pace. If you enjoy smaller resorts with a more “romantic” atmosphere you might love this place. How are you enjoying Secrets PM?
This is our second time here, we came in 2020 the last time, skipped last year due to Covid
Secrets never disappoints us. Everything pretty much back to normal here, most guests are not wearing masks although the staff all are.

Very little sargassum. What keeps us coming back to Playa Mujeres is the beaches. Beautiful white sand, you can walk out as far as you want in the ocean, nice sandy bottom with no rock or Coral.
Couldn’t do that at the old Silversands resort.
We did the beach yesterday, pool today.
Sounds great, hopefully this season will be minimal sargassum…
