Ocean Riviera Paradise resort has a lot to offer families–four main pools, three swim-up bars, 10 restaurants, 12 total bars, separate coffee and ice cream shop, sports bar, theater, disco, bowling alley, casino, spa, gym, and a children’s water park. It’s situated north of Playa del Carmen, so it’s an easy cab ride into town for some additional fun and shopping opportunities.
This resort is lengthy; it is spread out from east to west with most amenities close to the main walkway. While it only takes about 15-20 min. to walk from the lobby to the beach, there are golf carts to take guests around with designated pick-up/drop off points along the way.
Ocean Riviera Paradise has four sections: Eden (closest to the beach), Privilege (upgraded section with its own rooftop bar), El Beso (adults-only), and Daisy which is popular with families since it is close to the children’s water park. The weekly foam party is a hit with guests at the El Beso pool, as is the casino which is a rare opportunity in the Riviera Maya.
While I didn’t really like the look of the swim-ups at this resort, I did appreciate all the space and the very large rooftop deck in the Eden Rooftop Master Suite with its bathroom, Jacuzzi, full loungers, and separate seating area. Make sure you book a sea view, it has an awesome view from the Jacuzzi. A special perk of this room category is access to the Privilege Lounge.
Take a moment to view this suite–what do you think? Would you stay here?
I am just curious. I am staying in this room in September. You mention this gives you access to the Privilege Lounge, but does it also come with the rest of the benefits of Privilege (like higher quality drinks)? Or is it a non-privilege room that just gets you lounge access? Thanks!
Good question. On their website it says you get VIP amenities, but what they mean by that I’m not sure. If I were you I’d go on the resort’s Facebook page and send them a private message with this question.
