Thinking of going to an affordable all-inclusive resort in Mexico situated on one of Mexico’s best beaches? Look no further, Riu Palace Mexico may be the resort for you.
The Riu Palace Mexico is located on Playacar beach just south of Playa del Carmen. Practically the entire strip is one all-inclusive resort after another with a beautiful backdrop of turquoise ocean and white sand beach. If you decide to stay at the Riu Palace Mexico you will have access to all the local Riu resorts–Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Riu Yucatan, Riu Tequila, and Riu Playacar. The only resort you may not be able to access is the Riu Lupita which is located inland.
The Riu Palace Mexico underwent a complete renovation and re-opened its doors in 2012; it offers 434 guest rooms, one buffet restaurant, five a la cartes, 24-hr. room service, four pools, and seven bars. While it’s not an adults-only resort, there are not many children here at any given time, so adults may want to stay here for its overall adult atmosphere.
If you are going to book this resort, might as well book the Jacuzzi Suite. It’s a two-story suite with the Jacuzzi located on the upper floor along with several chairs and loungers. The bottom floor is typical of new Riu renovations–lots of silver and purple along with some pink thrown in, but the suite space is great for two adults. The tub is located close to the bed while the bathroom is pretty much open to the rest of the room, so those who stay here cannot be too choosy about bathroom privacy.
