The opening date is almost here for Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres. Feb. 12, 2025 is coming soon and it looks like the resort will most likely open on time.

Excellence resorts are currently some of the best all-inclusive properties out there (it is my personal opinion that Hotels Xcaret properties are currently THE best in the world of all-inclusives, but vacationers will always have their faves so opinions will differ).  Excellence Coral PM remains a highly desired new resort despite the fact it hasn’t had any real bargains in terms of soft opening pricing–new resorts typically reduce introductory rates that are advertised when the resort first takes bookings or within the first three months after opening to encourage new bookings.  Not so with this resort as far as I have seen.  I can only surmise that even with initial high pricing their booking numbers are strong enough to reinforce that decision; good for them but not so good for vacationers who cannot afford $730 USD p/night for an entry level room without the Excellence Club upgrade.
