It’s Friday and time for another suite review! This time I’m highlighting the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva Cancun located in the Punta Cancun area of the Hotel Zone. Punta Cancun is unique in that it is the very northeastern tip of the Yucatan peninsula; given the resort’s location on the end of this “tip”, Hyatt Ziva is surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The resort has two swimmable beaches (the calm west beach and the more potentially dangerous east beach with its rip tides and dangerous currents), three infinity pools, eight restaurants, six bars, an on-site dolphin interaction program, and an on-site microbrewery which produces three home beers. Hyatt Ziva Cancun has a great location since it is a 5-10 minute walk to all Cancun’s famous clubs as well as to a smaller mall (Plaza Caracol).
The suite I’m highlighting is the Turquoize Sky Oceanfront Master Suite. Turquoize is the name of the adults-only tower–it is a resort within a resort with private check-in and lounge, and access to the resort’s rooftop pool and bar. Turquoize Master Suites have a balcony Jacuzzi, a large bathroom area, and generous seating area. Turquoize guests have complimentary hydrotherapy access, a private elevator to the spa, access to the nearby Hyatt Zilara Cancun, access to a personal “butler”, and priority seating at Tradewinds Restaurant. The “Sky” delineation in the suite name refers to floors; Sky suites have better views since the suites are located on the 8th floor and up.
Hyatt is a relative newcomer to the all-inclusive resort scene; however, you can expect the same level of service and amenity quality you would at a standard Hyatt hotel. Below is the video of the Turquoize Oceanfront Master Suite (but not Sky level–this room is on the 6th floor I believe). Would you stay here? What do you think about the suite?
