Jimmy Buffett and Karisma have done it again!  The new adults-only Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya (not to be confused with the existing family-friendly Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun) is scheduled to open April 1, 2023 and is now open for bookings.  According to Google Maps, this Margaritaville is conveniently located just north of Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun (another Karisma resort).

The new Margaritaville resort will offer 355 guest suites, three pools, five restaurants, four bars, a spa, and pickleball courts.  It will also be the site of the first Landshark Brewery in Mexico.

The initial resort write-ups laud the suite categories, so I took a look at what is being offered.  No wonder those writers were excited–a signature suite with an outdoor pool table, infinity pool and Jacuzzi, plus BBQ area for entertaining (there is also a kitchen which will allow a resort chef to cook for suite guests and friends), a suite, oceanfront swim-ups, swim-ups with direct access to the main pool, and fourth floor infinity pool suites.  There are more suite categories, but those are more of the standard type.
