Tired of staying at an all-inclusive resort that requires an hour+ more travel time after landing in Cancun? Check out the brand new family-friendly mega-resort that lies north of Moon Palace, actually just minutes away from the Cancun airport. It’s called AVA Resort Cancun, and here’s a short list of its amenities:
- 1,700 rooms and suites. All room categories supposedly have an ocean view and range from basic king bed rooms to four bedroom suites. There is also a three bedroom Beach Club Villa with its own pool, games area, full kitchen, and direct beach access. Private butler service is included in upgraded suites.
- Free high-speed WiFi
- 17 restaurants and bars
- Several beachfront pools plus a man-made lagoon for sailing, kayaking, and swimming
- Water park
- Spa with over 90,000 sq. feet
- On-site nightclub plus a speakeasy bar
- Dedicated children’s and teen spaces. The starting age in the Kid’s Club isn’t listed, but I would assume it’s age 4. The teen space is for ages 13-19.
Sound like something you’re interested in? Below is a short video (thanks to Life and Travel) to give you an idea of what this resort may look like when finished…What do you think? Would you book this resort? There is no definitive date for either bookings or the opening of the resort yet; it was supposed to open late 2023 so obviously the enormity of the project slowed down the timeline.
