Now that the new Hilton Tulum has worked out most of its new resort “kinks” and the kids’ amenities and programs are all in place, here’s what’s available for your children to have an awesome time at this resort!
First of all, please be aware that most children’s amenities are located at the furthest point from the resort’s lobby and a la carte restaurants. There are 753 guest rooms and suites with room blocks in a half-circle formation around the beach area; it can take quite a bit of walking depending on where your room may be located to get back and forth in order to enjoy everything the resort has to offer. If you don’t want to walk back and forth during your resort stay (carrying sleepy children can be exhausting if you are already tired) you will be taking lots of intra-resort shuttles. In the beginning of the video posted below there is a general map outline of the resort and where major amenities are located on the grounds–you be the judge as to whether this may be workable or not for your family.
The Hilton Tulum website touts two programs available for families–the teen club and the Kid’s Corner. The teen club offers standard teen amenities–video gaming area, pool table, table tennis, foosball, and a cinema room, but the amenities for younger children are where this resort shines. Not only is there a large Kid’s Corner with lots of room for various activities, the water park and outdoor play area are stellar and provide lots of fun for younger children. I would say if your children are between the ages of 4-10 they will most certainly have the time of their lives. Teens, however, will most likely be bored, but that is one of the most difficult challenges of traveling with teenagers–how to see that they are entertained with the least amount of complaining about boredom. An almost impossible task when traveling with teens. While you may want to skip booking this resort if you are only traveling with a teenager, I would definitely consider this resort when traveling with younger children.
Here’s the video; it focuses on the resort’s activities for kids and it’s done by the Ramoses family. What do you think? Would your kids enjoy what this resort has to offer?
