Excellence resorts, in my opinion, are some of the best all-inclusive properties in Mexico (some would say in the Caribbean).  The brand knows how to give vacationers almost everything they’d want on a trip–luxurious but not stuffy surroundings and suites, good food, great drinks with top-shelf liquor, they don’t skimp on in-room liquor, lots of pool experiences and things to do on-site.  It’s almost the perfect vacation.

And they are trying to do it again with the new Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres.  This adults-only property is scheduled to open Feb. 12, 2025, so it’s still in the early stages of being built.  I viewed the resort map on the website and it looks like there will be 15 dining/eating options and 15 bars; both numbers include upgraded Excellence Club amenities like private restaurants and bars.  There will be separate tennis and pickleball courts, an archery area, and oceanfront massage opportunities.  A theater, large spa, and gym are givens, plus there will be lots of upgraded rooms with large private pools.

While anyone can book now for Feb. 2025+ on their website, please keep in mind that new resorts are notorious for not opening on time, or opening on time with not all amenities being available.
