Just came across some info that might be helpful for those who are booked to stay at AVA Resort Cancun in the near future.  Here are some amenities which are not yet open at this brand new resort:

• Members only areas including the Members pool
• adults-only pool
• only 5 out of 17 restaurants are open right now
• no teen club available yet
• no nightclub open yet
• beach is not cleared up yet
• only floors 1-3 have all their rooms completed, that means that some room categories will not be available yet

The lagoon pool, spa, and gym are all done and in use.  While it’s common to expect some snafus with new resort soft openings, there is a lot not ready yet, so guests may want to revise their expectations and just make the best of their vacation at AVA or cancel and reschedule for a couple of months from now.
