Not afraid to party and rock out while on vacation? While it’s not a spring break style partying experience, the Hard Rock Riviera Maya offers lots to do in an upbeat atmosphere which caters to families as well as adults. There are two sections at this resort–Heaven for adults-only, and the Hacienda section for families. The resort has a large water park which was renovated and enlarged approximately a year ago, as well as a facility called Woodward which offers an indoor skatepark, skiing and snowboarding lessons on an indoor track, trampolines, foam pits, etc.–it sounds like a lot of fun for those who want to be more active while on vacation.
Guests staying on the Heaven side have full access to the entire resort, while adults age 18+ staying at the Hacienda section can use the facilities over at Heaven. And get this–the nightclub at the adults-only section (Club Heaven) not only has DJ’s, it has a POOL in the nightclub. Awesome feature. But what to wear??? Mini-dress for dancing or new bikini, lol.
Guests need to be aware that this resort has NO natural beach. There is a man-made one which is located near the rocky beach area (no swimming allowed there due to the rocks), but beach lovers probably would want to give this resort a pass.
This is a large resort with two different sections, so there are many room categories with lots of great features. Check out the Deluxe Platinum Sky Terrace–if offers two floors of awesomeness including a balcony with a hammock and a second story with your own personal Jacuzzi and full loungers.
Take a couple of minutes to see the video below–would you stay here? If you’ve already been at the HRRM, what did you think of this resort?
We went to the Hard Rock a few years back. The family side is much better in my opinion. Better pool, coves, restaurants. The terrace suite on the hacienda (family side) has a bathroom on the 2nd level next to the outdoor jacuzzi. The Heaven (adult side) has no bathroom on the 2nd floor. We stayed on the Hacienda side and are glad we did ! Only advantage on the heaven side is that the spa is over there. And yes I would stay there just not a 2nd time only because we never stay at the same resort twice. We also loved those coves for swimming. Super cool in my opinion and for a guy who has a fear of sharks the coves gave me piece of mind. Haha. Rooms are nice but really tiny is the only downside.
The rooms do look like they have an unusual configuration. Good to know about the 2nd floor bathrooms
P.S. The water park is brand new. Not renovated or enlarged but brand new. There was no water park or skate park when we went there in 2016.
Thanks, that’s good to know.
