Family Of Five+ Family Resorts–Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe

Here’s another suggestion for larger families or parties traveling together–the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe was just listed as #24 out of 25 “Best All-Inclusive Resorts For Families” by Travel and Leisure.  (Don’t confuse this Hilton resort with Hilton Cancun, that is another resort located in the Riviera Maya). This resort is situated in Cancun’s Hotel Zone and about a 25 min. drive north of the Cancun airport.  With its location on an eastern-facing beach in the Hotel Zone, parents and vacationers in general may want to keep in mind that the surf is rough in this section of the Hotel Zone and there are chances of experiencing rip currents–not exactly swimming conditions you’d want beginning swimmers to experience.  You may find that many vacation days at the beach may be red-flagged which means dangerous swimming conditions where getting into the ocean past your knees is inadvisable.

Given that piece of info, the resort used to be called Royal Uno for a brief period of time (a part of Royal Resorts) before it was sold in 2023.  The resort is fairly large with 540 guest rooms and suites and offers 20 different room categories, four of which can sleep 5 or more in one room (there are some rooms that can sleep up to 8).  There are upgraded Enclave rooms and non-upgraded rooms which can accommodate larger parties.  Some room categories offer two bedroom suites plus Murphy beds to be able to accommodate larger parties, while lesser room categories may only have one king bed plus Murphy beds in one room.

This resort offers four a la carte restaurants, a buffet, a grab-n-go eating venue, poolside snack area, a 24 hr. coffee shop with snacks and ice cream available, free 24/7 room service, plus several places to get food for upgraded Enclave guests.  There are four bars (including a swim-up bar and beach bar with swings for seats), an on-site spa and gym, a main pool area which has several sections, a children’s water park with splash pad, and multiple adults-only beachfront Jacuzzis with ocean views.  The resort has a Kid’s Club (ages 4-12) and Teen Club so adults can have some time for themselves during vacation.

Below is a video done by Travelingos; it covers the resort as a whole plus it includes what a one bedroom suite with living room Murphy beds looks like to give you an idea of what this resort might be like if you decide to stay here.  Let me know in the comments section below if you have stayed at this property, especially if you’ve stayed with a larger party and what your experience was like.  See you in Cancun!

By the way, this resort is currently running a special as of Dec. 2024–ages 17 and under stay free!!
