If you enjoy vacationing at large megaresort complexes, you’ve probably read something about the Iberostar Riviera Maya property. The resort as a whole is located about 35 min. south of the Cancun airport and is comprised of five separate resorts, a golf course, and a separate “shopping mall” complex right across the road from the beachfront resorts. The individual properties, from the most expensive to the cheapest, are as follows:
- Iberostar Grand Paraiso. This is a luxury adults-only property meant for vacationers who like to relax in style. One great feature about this resort is its salt water main pool, very unusual at any resort in this part of Mexico.
- Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya. A family-friendly resort with many water-related fun things to do including a lazy river, wave pool, and kids water park which are shared amenities with the adjacent Paraiso Lindo resort. Don’t miss the Snake Bar by the lobby area or the waterfall swim-up bar at the pool!
- Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo. This family-friendly resort shares pool and water-related amenities with the Paraiso Maya resort. That means you can enjoy the lazy river, wave pool, main pool, and kids water park for a slightly lower price point than the adjacent Paraiso Maya. Don’t miss the waterfall swim-up bar at the pool!
- Iberostar Paraiso Beach. This family-friendly resort shares pool and beach areas with the Paraiso del Mar.
- Iberostar Paraiso del Mar. This family-friendly resort has the lowest price point of the entire complex. It shares pool and beach space with Paraiso Beach, and guests here can still access the “shopping mall” across the road.
Below is a video done by New Travel Escapes which highlights each resort, compares amenities, and gives info on each so that you can decide which resort at this property to book. Next blog post will highlight the “shopping mall” across the road so that its amenities are clarified. What do you think? Where on this property is your vacation “cup of tea”?
