I’ve been meaning to post the outcome of Condé Nast Readers Choice 2023 poll results for best eastern Mexico resorts…if you don’t already know the results, here they are:
- Fairmont Mayakoba. This famous resort offers an optional all-inclusive meal plan.
- Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya. Unfortunately, this resort isn’t an all-inclusive. Its spa is shared with the nearby Hilton Tulum which IS an all-inclusive resort.
- Kempinski Hotel Cancun. This is the former Ritz-Carlton Cancun. It’s not an all-inclusive resort.
- Rosewood Mayakoba. This famous resort is part of the Mayakoba complex in the Riviera Maya. It’s not an all-inclusive..
- Banyan Tree Mayakoba. Another famous resort which is part of the Mayakoba complex. It’s not an all-inclusive resort.
- Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun. This Secrets resort is situated on a world famous beach and has a price tag to match. All Secrets resorts are all-inclusive.
- Grand Residences Riviera Cancun. This one has been an all-inclusive resort for non-members of Royal Resorts (Royal Resort members have had the option of booking an all-inclusive meal plan).
- Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection. As far as I know, this one is not an all-inclusive.
- Andaz Mayakoba. Part of the famous Mayakoba complex. This one does have an optional all-inclusive meal plan.
- Casa Chablé. This one has a limited optional all-inclusive meal plan; check under Offers and Packages on their website.
- Mahekal Beach Resort. This one has an optional all-inclusive meal plan.
- Dreams Vista Cancun. This one is a surprise. All Dreams resorts are all-inclusive.
- Nizuc Resort and Spa. This one used to have an optional all-inclusive plan when it first opened, but there hasn’t been that option in quite some time.
- Chablé Maroma. As far as I know, this one is not an all-inclusive.
- Be Tulum. As far as I know, this one is not an all-inclusive.
- Atelier Playa Mujeres. One of my favorite all-inclusive resorts.
- Viceroy Riviera Maya. This one has an optional all-inclusive meal plan.
- Garza Blanca Cancun. This is a newer all-inclusive resort in the Playa Mujeres area north of downtown Cancun.
- Waldorf Astoria Cancun. This new hotel sits on the same property as the Hilton Cancun. While the Waldorf is not an all-inclusive, guests of the Waldorf can get a day pass to visit the adjacent Hilton.
- Secrets The Vine Cancun. All Secrets resorts are all-inclusive.
What do you think of these CN readers’ favorites? I’m surprised not to find one of the Hotels Xcaret on this list (Arte, Mexico, and La Casa de la Playa)). Any surprises for you?
