Time for another suite review! This time I’m highlighting the Jacuzzi Suite at Riu Palace Peninsula which is located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone on the top of the “7”. Riu resorts are some of the best four-star all-inclusive properties which give you the most “bang for your buck”. Since this is a Riu Palace resort (an upgraded Riu property), you will have access to all Riu resorts in the area. Don’t forget to visit the Riu Caribe located adjacent to this resort; it’s also easy to take a bus down to the Riu Palace Las Americas and the Riu Cancun if you want to see what they look like as well.
The Jacuzzi Suite deserves a mention because of the balcony Jacuzzi itself and its views–even when you are soaking in the Jacuzzi. The resort is 17 floors in the main building, so you can imagine what kind of view you’d get the higher you go. Some balcony Jacuzzi suites have straight on views of Cancun and the pools, while others have both a Nichupté Lagoon and ocean view. Make your request concerning higher/lower floor and preferred view when you book and they will do their best to accommodate you. As is common for recent Riu renovations or newer Riu resorts, the bathroom lacks privacy, so keep that in mind when you decide what resort to book.
NOTE: Be careful when booking this room, particularly with wholesalers; there are some balcony Jacuzzi suites in the Villas or adults-only section, but don’t be fooled. This is the Jacuzzi Suite or, as listed on the website, the Suite Jacuzzi room category. Have a look at the video and let me know what you think. Would you stay here?
