Attention vacationers looking for baby-friendly all-inclusive resorts in this part of Mexico, here’s another to consider. Generations Riviera Maya has a reputation for being not only baby-friendly, but generation-friendly when it comes to family vacations. It is not unusual for kids, parents and grandparents to spend time together at this resort due to their one, two, and even three bedroom suites with or without a swim-up pool right off the balcony/terrace. Families getting a swim-up suite have a lock on the gate to the swim-up pool so the worry factor is removed for families with young children who cannot swim or need direct water supervision when in the pool.
While there is no Baby Club, (the Eko Kid’s Club is for children ages 4-12), the resort offers babysitting services($) as well as access to multiple complimentary baby amenities:
- crib
- stroller
- pack ‘n play
- bottle warmer
- bottle sterilizer
- changing table
- baby bathtub
- baby monitor
- even baby food is provided
There is an added plus for adults staying at Generations Riviera Maya–those age 18+ are free to visit the adjoining resorts, El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Casitas Royale, and enjoy their pools, bars, and restaurants. If grandparents are along, they may be more than happy to babysit while parents have some couple time at these adjoining resorts in addition to enjoying Generations amenities. Older children may also want to visit the Aqua Nick water park at the adjacent Nickelodeon resort; you will have to purchase a day pass though.
What do you think? This family-friendly luxury resort has been wildly successful for Karisma so expect a great stay! Below is a short video highlighting the resort’s amenities, plus you can see what the actual beach is like. The water structure you see off the beach is called Kan-Kanan and helps with beach erosion as well as the ocean ecosystem (click the name above to see a short video on it if you’d like).
