A New Addition to the Xcaret All-Fun Inclusive Offerings…

Grupo Xcaret has announced a new addition to their All-Fun Inclusive offerings–a catamaran cruise!  My understanding is that the catamaran leaves from La Casa de la Playa (the resort immediately to the north of Hotel Xcaret Arte), but right now I can’t seem to find out more information about the details.  The new catamaran cruise is for all guests of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, Hotel Xcaret Arte, and La Casa de la Playa, all Grupo Xcaret properties.

Here’s a short list of current All-Fun Inclusive offerings:

  • Veleo Xailing (the new catamaran cruise)
  • ferry to Isla Mujeres which leaves from the western edge of Cancun’s Hotel Zone
  • complimentary roundtrip airport to hotel transportation
  • complimentary access to the following parks and attractions (no reservation required):  Xcaret, Xplor, and Xenses
  • complimentary access to the following parks and attractions (advance reservation required):  Xavage, Xplor Fuego (Xplor Park at night), and Xel-Ha.
  • complimentary tours/excursions (advance reservation required):  Xenotes, and Xoximilco (a night excursion featuring the music of Mexico while riding on a boat–famous for overdrinking since it’s an open bar on beer and tequila, you also get dinner for free).

Some of the original excursions are not offered anymore (I went to Chichen Itza for free when I stayed at Hotel Xcaret Mexico), but the very popular Xenotes tour seems like it has taken its place.  I also took advantage of doing the Xoximilco excursion at the time and personally did not like it due to the mandatory group games which occurred while the boat was traveling from one performance point to another, but that is just me, others may enjoy such entertainment.  I also went to Xcaret Park several times during my Hotel Xcaret Mexico stay, it is a huge park with much to offer vacationers.  If you want to read more about my Xcaret Park experience, click here to read my blog post about it.

Keep in mind that All-Fun Inclusive offerings means you get free roundtrip transportation to the park or event as well as free admission.  If the setup is the same, I was even allowed a free lunch and non-alcoholic drinks (at a specific park restaurant) when visiting Xcaret Park.  At the time there was a separate admissions area just for Hotel Xcaret guests, so look for that when you arrive at the parks.

I welcome the new catamaran excursion since I always insist on taking one when cruising the Caribbean or visiting Hawaii, it’s one of my favorite things to do.  Since I will be staying at Hotel Xcaret Arte in March, I will be contacting the resort about a week ahead of arrival and make my reservation–hopefully there will be space and I can document the event to share with you.

If anyone has taken this new Grupo Xcaret All-Fun Inclusive addition, let us all know how it went and what was involved.  Thanks, and I will see you in Cancun!
