For anyone thinking about staying at UNICO 20° 87° or for those who already have an upcoming booking, there is currently some very noisy construction going on which may interfere with your stay.
Below is a video done by a well-respected vlogger, Coolist, who specializes in all-inclusive resort videos. He does tell it like it is and gives honest opinions about his resort experiences. His most recent experience was at UNICO and this video tells his story from start to finish–good and bad.
First of all, getting approached by timeshare/Vacation Club reps at check-in is more typical than not when staying at all-inclusives. If you commit to the 1 hr. next day “breakfast”, I guarantee it will turn into a 3+ hr. commitment of your time for some spa discounts. I have learned just to cut these people off and tell them I’m not interested, and sometimes it does take 2-3 times of telling them the same thing, but I am nothing if not single-minded when it comes to someone else wasting my vacation time. Second, there are some resorts that will issue a partial refund if you really want to prematurely exit a property, and it is surprising that a luxury resort would treat someone this way and not worry about their reputation being harmed by a refusal to issue a partial refund (watch the video for details).
If you want to know more about the construction noise at this property, those details are in the first part of the video. The last half is devoted to seeing the property and what else it does have to offer.
Let me know in the comments section below if you are planning on going soon to this UNICO property…
