Not everyone who books an all-inclusive resort wants nothing more to do on vacation than sit in the sun and drink, sleep and eat…Of course there ARE some vacationers that want that type of experience but some individuals want more of an adventure or some additional fun to add.
One of the favorite activities that vacationers enjoy is a water park experience. There are multiple all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya that offer such amenities, but sometimes initial planning doesn’t work out (no resort availabilities for your vacation dates), or sometimes you just get a hankering for some water fun.
I know just the solution. On the grounds of Vidanta in the Riviera Maya (this is NOT an all-inclusive resort) is a great water park for families or adults alike. It’s called Jungala Aqua Experience, and it’s filled with water fun for all ages.
What does this water park have to offer you may ask? It’s got the longest lazy river in Latin America (yes, it’s got its own current), a mild wave pool, a drop slide, multiple water slides, racing slides, a separate children’s section, even a spa area is present just in case you want to relax after having so much fun. Of course there are food and drink options along with private cabanas, but those are an extra price–the park has various packages which will fit your water park needs for the day.
Jungala has a visitor limit p/day so as to avoid lengthy lines which we all know can detract from guests’ experiences. While it is advised to purchase your tickets in advance, you can also buy them at the entrance when you arrive if you want to take a chance that you will be getting there before the park reaches its guest limit.
Where exactly is Jungala located in the Riviera Maya? Like I mentioned before, it’s on the grounds of Vidanta resort which is between Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya and the Iberostar Paraiso megaresort. You can either hire a car and park for free in the Cirque du Soleil JOYÁ Theater lot (also part of the Vidanta resort but I believe that lot is across the highway from the actual resort grounds) then wait for the provided Jungala shuttle, or of course you can always cab it to Vidanta from your resort and the cab will let you off in the same parking lot to wait for the shuttle.
