Resort Credits To End For Palace Resorts

Here’s the new deal with resort credits at Palace resorts.

Those who will still have access to resort credits after Aug 1, 2020:

  • confirmed bookings made prior to Aug. 1, 2020, staying anytime in the future
  • reservations made (even after Aug. 1) through existing Palace resort members with Diamond and Residence memberships (traveling with or without said members).
  • reservations made (even after Aug. 1) through existing Palace resort members with VIP/Elite memberships (traveling with members ONLY).  If you won’t be traveling with the member who owns the membership you won’t be eligible for resort credits.

Non-member vacationers booking directly with third parties (Expedia, etc.) after Aug. 1 will not be eligible for resort credits.  You can find Palace resort members more than willing to allow you to book through their membership–look for them in specific Facebook groups in particular.

The usual fee for using resort credits will still remain in effect.

  1. Do you have this policy in writing from the resort? We booked on 6/28/20 to travel in March 2021, and they are now saying we don’t get the credits. Here is the quote from Palace Resorts when I questioned it:
“it is because in the system it takes the date you stay at the hotel, not when you reserve”. I need something in writing that explains it does not apply to those who booked prior to 8/1/20.

    • No, I don’t have that in writing from the resort. Do you have a FB account? You could ask to join Beach Palace and Sun Palace–Travelers Page; this is a page mostly for Palace resort members and they may have actual hard copies. Also, there is a YouTube video by Christine Turner dated July 17, 2020, about this subject matter. She is a long-time travel agent and she may have what you require.
