Many all-inclusive resort vacationers are familiar with the Excellence brand–they are considered to be 5 star properties with good food, great amenities, and a resort atmosphere which attracts many repeat guests.  I cannot tell you how many fellow vacationers I’ve run into at other resorts that have mentioned during conversations that their favorite resort is Excellence Playa Mujeres…

One of the Excellence resorts’ best and most popular room categories is the rooftop suite with private plunge pool.  And who can argue with that consensus…well I guess you could but when it comes to rooftop suites it’s one of the best.

What I like most about this room category is the fact you not only get a separate rooftop area with private plunge pool but you get a balcony Jacuzzi the same level as the bedroom.  A great feature to have when you are feeling lazy enough to roll out of bed and walk a couple of steps to enjoy a nice warm Jacuzzi experience

One of the features I don’t like about older Excellence properties is their more open concept bathrooms–a lack of bathroom privacy can make or break vacations even for couples and that is an area where this could cost the older resorts some bookings.

However, it looks like the new Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres has resolved that issue by providing more bathroom privacy, but at the same time has lost a lot of outdoor privacy when using balcony or rooftop amenities.
