FYI:  Due to a shortage of materials, the project has experienced a delay. The current date of completion has now been moved to the first week of December.

Construction projects in Playa del Carmen’s famous 5th Avenue and Fundadores Park will finish November 2020.  There are two major projects to complete–tiling and cement work, as well as decide whether to turn Avenues 10 and 15 into pedestrian-only, just like 5th Avenue.  Any further major COVID shutdowns and/or severe weather could delay its completion, however.
