I’m going to continue my “best of” series since I’m now back from my Mexico vacay–the current series, if you may remember, concerns swim-up/out suites.
I stayed at Dreams Playa Mujeres back in 2017 and remember how outstanding the resort in general turned out to be, but part of what continues to make the resort great are the many room choices the resort has to offer–including what I consider to be one of the best swim-up suites in the area’s market.
If you want a suite with lots of room to move around plus an unusual swim-up feature, check out the Preferred Club Master Suite Swim-Out Ocean View. What makes this swim-out suite unusual is that it is not on the ground floor–swim-up suites on upper floors are unusual, and I only know of one other resort which offers this type of feature (Atelier Playa Mujeres with its 4th floor Inspira Jr. Suite Swim-Out Ocean View rooms). The Dreams PM Master Suite has room for three guests with 1,162 sq. feet. Not only is there more than enough room inside to have a comfortable vacation, the balcony is huge with a built-in cushioned sofa, full lounger, and table and chairs. Since the swim-out is located on a higher floor it also offers an ocean view to boot.
Not bad at all. I thought the resort in general was awesome with its lazy river (only for upgraded Preferred Club guests, though), water slides, large children’s water park, immense main pool with large swim-up bar and live entertainment area, two beach bars, complimentary beach Bali beds for upgraded Preferred Club guests, an on-site disco, plus a dolphin encounter area was built after my stay there. I realize some people are turned off by that kind of amenity, but if your family wants to have that kind of experience you don’t have to travel far to enjoy interacting with dolphins.
The video below does a good job in showing off the room’s amenities. What do you think? Would you stay in this suite category?
