Grupo Xcaret officially opened its newest park, Xavage, April 15, 2019. It is located approximately 5-10 min. south of the Cancun airport and is intended for ages 5 and up. The park includes six major activities including kayaking (Crocodile), an intense ropes course (Howler Monkey), zipline (Hawk), fast jet boats with wild careening turns of up to 180 degrees (Dragonfly), white water rafting (Barracuda), and an SUV/large jeep traversing various obstacles (Puma).
There are four types of tickets being sold (kid’s prices are 50% off the price of an adult ticket):
- Soft: includes kayaking, the ropes course, and your choice of one of the remaining activities for $69.99 USD. No food or drink is included.
- Hard: includes kayaking, the ropes course, and your choice of two of the remaining activities for $119.99 USD. Food and drinks are included.
- Extreme: includes kayaking, the ropes course, and your choice of three of the remaining activities for $149.99 USD. Food and drinks are included.
- Ultimate: includes all park activities plus food and drinks for $169.99 USD.
- Guests of Hotel Xcaret Mexico should be able to access all park activities through the use of the hotel’s “All Fun Inclusive” program.
All four types of admission prices include free parking, free WiFi, showers and lockers, use of “rest zones” including hammocks, use of safety equipment, and access to children’s areas such as “Tough Cubs” for ages 5-12 with slides, bridges, water jets, and wading pool. Transportation is an extra cost but can be ordered at the time one orders tickets online (buses can pick guests up from certain hotels–check with Xavage to see if your hotel is on their approved list). It looks like cameras and phones won’t be allowed on the activities–there is supposed to be a built-in camera on every helmet with pre-selected “selfie” spots; guests can purchase their pictures prior to departing the park.
