New Vaping Laws in Mexico…

To those of you who like to vape, especially while on vacation relaxing and having a good time, there is a new information about the legality of this action while in the country of Mexico.

Basically it is this–you cannot legally vape while in any part of Mexico, nor can you bring any vaping materials into Mexico, nor can you legally purchase any vaping materials while in Mexico.  I believe this began Jan. 17, 2026 and will stay on the books for quite some time if I am not mistaken.

As an ex-smoker, I do sympathize with those who continue to enjoy this habit whether it be smoking cigs, cigars, or those who vape, but have run into an increasing number of difficulties continuing to do so while on vacation especially when taking a trip to the very popular Cancun/Riviera Maya areas of Mexico.  I have repeatedly seen resort areas that allow regular smoking that are smaller than my closet at home, so I feel your frustration.  However, don’t get stuck with a possible $14K USD fine if you want to risk sneaking your vaping materials into any part of Mexico.  Think carefully about it please…

Below is a short video by Christine Turner, a Canadian travel agent, who reiterates the new vaping law.  Plus I really enjoyed the ocean view behind her, lol.  It’s a nice way to start the day visually.  What do you think about this new vaping law in Mexico?  Leave your comments below…
