I always enjoy Christine Turner’s Mexico resort videos (Ms. Turner is a Canadian travel agent), she does a great job in filling in the details about a property.  Here’s a new video she’s put out about details concerning the brand new Secrets property set to open Dec. 1, 2023.  It will be called Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres.  As Ms. Turner states in the video, this will be a soft opening with reportedly lower pricing, but some of the room categories will not be available when it opens in Dec.

I did a dummy booking on the AMR website for one person for 3 nights in Dec. and it priced out at $1,689 for 3 nights with an upgraded Preferred Club Tropical View suite.  For 2 adults for the same room for the same dates it would be $200 cheaper.  What’s with the continual financial penalty of solo travel??  It’s not just cruise cabins…   Not what I’d call a super low rate for solo travelers for a soft opening, but that sounds about right for Secrets now that Hyatt is in control.  If you are interested in this property, better book now; you can get bookings for next spring with the pre-opening discount as well.
