Goodbye spa, hello new 2 Bedroom Presidential Overwater Bungalow! The Palafitos overwater bungalow section has gotten rid of its private spa area to make way for their brand new 2 bedroom suite. In case you don’t know the overwater bungalow general layout, it’s shaped like a “T” with regular overwater bungalows nearest the beach on both sides of the pier, and Elite overwater bungalows nearest the end of the pier where the horizontal part of the “T” is…the new bungalow is all the way to the right at the end of the pier.
For those not familiar with where Palafitos is located, it’s within the Karisma resort called El Dorado Maroma. This all-inclusive resort is located 40 min. south of the Cancun airport, so it’s easy to reach without a lengthy drive. Since the Palafitos is part of this resort, Palafitos guests have full access to the entire property which means they can enjoy four pools, two swim-up bars, four dining opportunities, and five bar areas along with Rick’s Bar which is where evening entertainment is located. Palafitos guests also have complimentary access to the Overwater Grill and Wine Bar while regular El Dorado Maroma guests have to pay extra for that amenity.
There are so many great things about staying in the Palafitos in general, this new suite just amps that up with some extras. Below is a very nice video done by a Texas travel agency called 2 Getaway Travel explaining what this new suite has to offer. However, they did not mention the price–last I looked it was around $7,000 p/night. I won’t be going there anytime soon because of that factor, but it’s always nice to dream…
What do you think of this new suite?
