Xplor or Xplor Fuego? Too bad this is not the most difficult question to be answered in life. If you are going to the Riviera Maya and thinking of visiting the parks, it will be a question you will have to contemplate at some point.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Xplor, it is a 145 acre “adventure park” comprised of three sets of activities–amphibious vehicles, ziplining, and the underground river activities. Ziplining is the most popular thing to do here. There are two ziplining tracts: Deer (for beginners, includes the water slide), and Jaguar for those a bit more daring with its longer ziplines and higher towers. Underground river activities include rafting and swimming, while the amphibious vehicles let you drive through caverns, cross suspension bridges, and explore Mayan jungle roads (sorry, only those 18 and over can drive the John Deere vehicles).
Xplor Fuego is the same park, but showcased at night. The lighting is different and some of the activities are not included (such as the water slides), but it can be a lot of fun for those wanting a different type of adventure.
So, which would you choose? Here are two videos showing the highlights of each.
