Posadas, one of the largest hotel operators in Mexico, decided to turn the primarily European meal plan Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach into an all-inclusive resort. It came close before with its upgrade, Grand Club Unlimited Experience, back in 2017, but the concept caught on so well Posadas recently decided to turn the entire resort into an all-inclusive.
The resort is located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone on the top part of the “7” very near to the lighthouse on the point in Punta Cancun (close to the Hyatt Ziva resort which lies to the east, and a couple of properties away from Riu Cancun which lies to the west). It is practically across the street from Cancun’s popular clubs and nightlife, a boon for those who like to party at night. I walked through this property several years ago when I stayed at the Riu Palace Las Americas and was impressed with its massive pool area and easy beach access.
The resort has 602 guest rooms–all suites with a balcony/terrace and ocean view, five restaurants in addition to a taco bar, beach lounge that serves seafood, and a cafe which serves pizza and snacks. The resort is also proud of its AAA Five-Diamond rated restaurant, Le Basilic, a rare honor for a restaurant to achieve. The pool area is entirely beachfront with four pools and multiple swim-up bars, a rather small and narrow beach but swimmable waters being it’s located on the northern part of the Hotel Zone. The resort also offers a gym, spa, and well equipped Kid’s Club for ages 3-12.
The new upgrade at the resort is called Infinite Club with its private penthouse lounge for upgraded guest check-in/out, drinks and gourmet snacks, access to the Beach Club and Sundeck, restaurant reservations, and complimentary access to Garrifon Reef Club over at Isla Mujeres. All guests receive complimentary ferry tickets to Isla Mujeres as well.
Infinite Club suites are on the higher floors of the resort with sweeping ocean views and additional space both indoors and outdoors. The Infinite Oceanfront One Bedroom Master Suite has more than enough room for two adults with its separate living room, massive bathroom, and balcony space for two padded loungers as well as a table with two chairs.
This resort has a stellar reputation and has been a member of Preferred Hotels since 2012. While the decor doesn’t say “Mexico”, it does give the impression that international travelers will find a plush and comfortable home here while on vacation.
Here’s a very short video of the Master Suite category; would you stay here now that the resort is entirely all-inclusive?
