Here’s another resort which can accommodate up to 13 people in their suites. That’s got to be a record, I haven’t come across another resort which can accommodate that many guests in one suite with multiple bedrooms.
Grand Residences Riviera Cancun is a well regarded and award winning all-inclusive resort which is part of the Royal Resorts timeshare portfolio. That means you may be approached when you check-in to attend a breakfast the next day or give you a tour of the property after check-in to acquaint you with the resort’s layout–unless you want to wind up in a 3 hr. hard sell of a timeshare just say no (and you will probably have to do it repeatedly).
The resort only has 144 suites and most suites have great ocean views, some even have their own private plunge pool. The resort offers 4 pools including a children’s pool; some pools are heated along with the heated Jacuzzis. The resort has 3 restaurants and 5 bars including a health bar at the spa.
While this resort has a reputation for excellent food and service, don’t expect the resort or the suites to have the look of a Caribbean resort. Suites in particular look like any luxury apartment or hotel suite in the US with kitchenettes in Jr. Suites and full kitchens and a washer and dryer combo in the Master and Presidential Suites.
Here are your options for larger parties wanting to stay together in one room:
- One Bedroom Master Suites (all 3 categories of Master Suites) can sleep up to 5 with a separate bedroom with king bed and 3 Murphy beds–one Murphy bed is in the separate bedroom.
- Two Bedroom Master Suites (all 3 categories) can sleep up to 8 people with 2 king beds and 4 Murphy beds.
- Three Bedroom Master Suites (all 3 categories) can sleep up to 10 people with 2 king beds, one bedroom with 2 dbl beds, and 4 Murphy beds.
- Four Bedroom Presidential Suite can sleep up to 13 people with 3 king beds, one bedroom with 2 dbl beds, and 5 Murphy beds.
How’s that for choice? Pretty sweet for families or large parties vacationing together at a quality all-inclusive resort. Here’s a video of the resort done by The OCD Traveler with an emphasis on the One Bedroom Master Suite (a balcony Jacuzzi is included in this room category). What do you think? Would you book this resort?
