Renovations at Excellence Riviera Cancun are continuing through November 2, 2014.  Phase I began September 1, 2014, and finished September 16, 2014.  Phase I included renovations of all Club guest rooms (the Club pool and lounge were also closed at this time).  Some of these improvements include new pillow top mattresses, new frosted glass doors in the bathroom, larger seating areas in the room and on the balcony, and more room for suitcases.

Phase II will occur from September 16, 2014 to November 2, 2014, and includes renovations of guest rooms in buildings 1-3 (new furniture, repairs, etc. in several buildings surrounding the spa). The resort plans on renovating all guest rooms by the end of 2015 as well as adding a new restaurant in the near future.  Check directly with the resort prior to booking in order to see what blocks of rooms will be renovated during your projected stay.
