I’ve been to Riu Palace Las Americas  twice (pre and post renovations); it’s a fabulous four star adults-only resort for the price–you get a lot of bang for your buck where vacation dollars are concerned when you book with Riu.  (If you are interested in reading my most recent resort review post-renovations, just click here).

Since there are so many great ocean view rooms available at this resort, vacationers may forget about this resort’s top room category, the “Suite Jacuzzi With Sea View”.  It offers plenty of space, a separate bedroom, bathroom privacy, and of course a large rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi.

Here’s a quick video of the suite–notice the resort guest’s comments indicate he got a complimentary upgrade and wasn’t even trying to get one.  Yes, you can also get a complimentary room upgrade when you weren’t even thinking of getting one; check-in staff could just be in a benevolent mood at the time you check-in.
