It’s impossible for me to keep track of every resort update in this part of Mexico, so here’s another surprise for me–Beloved Playa Mujeres has been doing a renovation in phases over the past year while it’s been open and now has some renovated rooms available (I believe they are still working on the Casitas and will continue to do so during 2026).

This resort is for couples only, so don’t expect to book if you are doing a solo vacation.  This is a quiet resort meant for couples who want to reconnect with each other.  It’s a boutique property with only 109 suites and has a very swimmable beach area in a secure gated community.
