Next Mexico Vacation Celebrating Dia de los Muertos…

Vacation plans now set in place for my next trip to Mexico…I will be celebrating Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Mexico.  I will be staying at Riu Palace Peninsula  to check out their new renovations, and Grand Riviera Princess to check out their renovations as well as how resorts typically celebrate Mexico’s famous “Day of the Dead” which is honored every year on Nov. 1 and 2nd.  This is a budget-friendly resort vacation since I am planning on an upcoming move and as all individuals realize, a mover’s budget is paramount in making financial decisions.  Hopefully spring 2027 will bring some extra cash flow to enjoy my lovely luxury resorts…

What is Day of the Dead you may ask?  It is a traditional two-day holiday when Mexicans celebrate and honor their deceased loved ones.  Nov. 1st is for honoring the passing of children, and Nov. 2nd is for celebrating the passing of adults.  Mexicans typically celebrate this holiday by constructing altars with marigold flowers, photos of the one who has departed, and favorite food and drink of those who have passed.  Offerings are believed to encourage visits from the dead who join in the celebration…This visit at this time will be special for me given the recent sudden and unexpected passing of my sister…It is a somber realization that I am the only one left alive in my family of origin.

Hope you will join me on Instagram posts from the dates of Oct. 27 thru Nov. 4…
