In case you haven’t heard, Riu Palace Mexico reopened Sept. 19, 2026, following an extensive renovation.  While Riu hasn’t disclosed the amount of the renovation, they did redo all guest rooms, common areas, bars and restaurants–they even put in swim-up suites but have reserved them for guests booking the new Elite upgrade (I knew there had to be a catch).  Also, they have switched up the demographics in that this resort is now adults-only.

I haven’t found any videos yet of the property after the renovation, so I’ve got my eye out for that and will keep you posted as to how it actually looks.

Keep in mind that RPM is basically across the street from Riu Tequila which is the host property of this area’s Riu theme parties…They are held every Friday evening and are for families.
